    Civil War:  Enlisted Januray 15, 186t2, Pvt., Co. "I", 19th Wisconsin Infantry; commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, Co. "D", 19th Wisconsin Infantry December 29, 1864, transferred to Co. "B", Ind. Bn. May 01, 1865; home Port Andrew (roster Wisc Vol).  In 1870 he was a school teacher living at Fayette, WI (Census).

87.  ALFRED NATHAN5 TROUSDALE (WILLIAM PEARCE4, ALEXANDER3, JOHN2, JOHN1) was born January 09, 1839 in Fayette, WI, and died December 24, 1863 in Helena, AR.  He married FANNIE BLISS DAVIS December 10, 1859 in Fayette, WI.  She was born September 30, 1835 in Ashtabula, OH, and died April 24, 1923 in Kansas City, KS.

    He was from Port Andrew, WI.  Civil War:  Enlisted August 12, 1862 at Richmond, WI under fCol Milto0n Montgomery; was commissioned 1st Sergeant of Company B - 25th Regt, Wisconsin Volunteers, September 01, 1863 and died of illness December 24, 1863 while stationed at Helena, Arkansas.

"C", 38th Wisc Infantry; Muster Out July 26, 1865.  Taught school in Illinois for several years, studied medicine under his brother James at Juda; graduated Rush Medical College Abt. 1872; practised at Gratiot and Dayton.  A man of "great talent" (His Green Co., Wisc 425).

89.  SAMUEL WHITNEY5 TROUSDALE (WILLIAM PEARCE4, ALEXANDER3, JOHN2, JOHN1) was born November 12, 1853 in Fayette, WI, and died June 04, 1909 in Chicago, Cook Co., IL.  He married (1) ALMA LOUISA BAKER November 14, 1882.  She was born May 17, 1861 in Linden, WI, and died October 09, 1895 in LaCrosse, WI.  He married (2) MINNIE EVANGELINE TAYLOR June 24, 1897 in Rome, PA.  She was born October 05, 1868 in Rome, PA, and died September 13, 1951 in Towanda, PA.
